Cliffe Woods Football Club - Club Constitution

 

1.        NAME. The Club Shall be called the “Cliffe Woods Football Club” and shall be affiliated to the Kent County Football Association.

 

2.        OBJECTS. Its objects shall be to provide association football for its members and such social and recreative pursuits as may be deemed desirable by the committee.

 

3.         OFFICERS. The officers of the Club shall consist of:

          Chairman

          Secretary

          Treasurer

          Laundry Department

 

        all of whom shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting.

          

          The Officers shall appoint the following:

 

          First Team Manager /Assistant

          Reserve Team Manager/Assistant

          'A' Team Manager/Assistant

                     

4.        COMMITTEE. The Club shall be controlled by a general committee consisting of the Officers/Managers and other members who shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting.

 

       The general Committee shall meet once per month (or as necessary) and the proceedings at such meetings shall be duly recorded in a minute book. All meetings of the General Committee, five committee members shall form a quorum.

 

5.     POWERS OF THE COMMITTEE. The property and/or assets of the  Club shall be vested in the General Committee.

 

       The General Committee shall have the power to appoint such Sub-Committees as may from time to time be deemed necessary and shall receive reports of such Sub-Committees at its meetings.

 

The General Committee shall have power to suspend or expel any member deemed guilty of conduct prejudicial to the good name of the Club.

 

       The General Committee shall have power to fill such vacancies as may arise in its constitution between Annual General Meetings.

 

       The General Committee shall have the power to declare a seat vacant should a member absent himself from three consecutive meetings without explanation deemed to be satisfactory.

 

6.      MEMBERSHIP. Membership shall consist of playing members who have duly signed a league registration form and has fully paid up any registration fee due.

       In the event of non payment of any registration fee due, membership will be deemed terminated.

        

       A register of current members shall be kept by the Secretary

 

7.     SUBSCRIPTION. The Annual Subscription shall be as determined by the General Committee. The Match Subscriptions shall also be as determined by the general Committee.

 

       Any member who creates a debt to the club exceeding £50 will be deemed suspended for selection and receive verbally a warning on his conduct. This debt will include weekly subscriptions and fines imposed for mis-conduct.

          

8.    ANNUAL MEETING. The Annual General Meeting shall be held no later than 1st September in each year.

       The Secretary shall give 21 clear days notice of such meeting to all members.

       The Financial Statement and Secretaries report shall be received by the meeting, which shall also elect the officers and General committee by ballot.

 

9.     EXTRAODINARY GENERAL MEETING. An Extraordinary General Meeting may be convened by the General Committee when deemed desirable.

 

10.   FINANCE. The general Committee shall keep proper records of all accounts.

       All financial matters shall be conducted by the Treasurer and/or Secretary. All purchases over a value of £500.00 shall be authorised by the general Committee.

 

11.   ALTERATION TO THE RULES. No alteration to these rules shall be made except at the Annual General Meeting or at an Extraordinary General Meeting convened for that purpose, and only if supported by the majority of the members present.

       NOTE. Officers and Members of the General Committee are entitled to one vote each. (The Chairman only votes if a tie is recorded at any ballot).

 

12.   OTHER BUSINESS. Only matters governed by the forgoing rules shall be dealt with by the General Committee, whose decision shall be final and binding.

 

 

        CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

 

        Cliffe Woods Football Club recognises its responsibality to safeguard the welfare of all children (defined as those under eighteen years of age) and fully supports the Child protection Policy of the Football Association and the Kent County Football Association.
